About Us

Established in 2001, Citygate has successfully bought, refurbished and developed over 40 commercial properties ranging from small starter units to complete larger business park developments.

The current portfolio includes a range of retail, industrial and office properties, with a current rent roll of over £3.0 million. We have approximately 75 tenants, including large multinationals, national and local public sector organisations and small, private enterprises.

Our People

We comprise a small manangement team and are able to make decisions quickly, both when purchasing a property and agreeing a letting . This local market knowledge allows the company to be flexible in dealing with tenants and therefore to offer deals which enhance income and opportunities. Regular contact with tenants allows the company to be responsive to their requirements.

Managing Director, Iain Reid has 25 years experience in the commercial property market in East Anglia. Iain, a chartered Surveyor, left his position as Head of Commercial Property in Savills Norwich office to set up Citygate Developments in 2001.

Finance Director, Phillip Thorpe has been a Chartered Accountant for 27 years having previously been a partner of the East Anglian offices of a top 10 national accounting firm. Phillip joined Citygate in 2004.

Director Alan Jones is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and member of the Chartered Institute of Builders. Alan has been a property developer for over 30 years and was a founding Director of Citygate in 2001.
